Fleur & Fable is an illustrated stationery company taking the wondrous fantasy of storybook worlds and reimagining them with both whimsy and elegance. We sell a range of stationery, specialising in bookplates which are illustrated labels stuck to the inside front cover of a book to identify the owner. We want to bring people closer to their book collection, as if to say “”I was here, I read this, and it mattered to me””.
Our brand is all about recreating the nostalgia of a by-gone world – heavily inspired by classic fairytale illustration mixed with beautiful design, reminiscent of an old library. We value tradition and history, high quality production and offering an affordable range.
Our range is brought to life with a variety of specialty printing including metallic inks, and tactile qualities like pearlescent paper and foil printing, all in collaboration with Australian printers. We opt for plastic free packaging like paper or glassine, utilising soy inks and manufacturing locally and in small batches to reduce wastage.
Fleur & Fable is created by Jessica Le in Sydney, Australia. Jess has been illustrating for 13+ years and has a love for all things fantasy and whimsical. She studied Visual Communications at UTS (graduating with First Class Honours) and spent 6 years as design director at a book publisher in Sydney, having previously worked a short stint in London. Her background in book design and production allows her to experiment with different paper stocks, embellishments and production technique. Fleur & Fable combines her favourite loves: art, paper goods and history. She’s also an internationally published author and illustrator and a member of the New Australian Bookplate Society. In her spare time you’ll find her poring through art, experimenting with film photography, reading and drinking vanilla earl grey tea.
