Paudhã Healing, is a multi-award winning plant based, Australian, vegan skincare company.
Paudhã (pronounced pow-da) means ‘plant’ in Hindi and plant healing is what they are all about. Paudha Healing believe skincare should only contain natural ingredients beneficial to the skin, with no need for fancy fillers or nasty chemicals.
Their skincare is all about the natural environment we live in and they are accredited as a cruelty free company, by Choose Cruelty Free Australia. You can trust they love animals as much as they love plants. All products are stored in glass jars which can easily be recycled, as Paudha Healing believes that the way forward for the planet is for businesses to use sustainable packaging wherever possible.
ABOUT THE FOUNDER
Renee Tilley, creator of Paudhã Healing, is a mother and wife with a passion for health and wellness. Her affinity with herbs and the healing nature of plants, inspired her to create Paudhã Healing –
“I suffer from Rosacea and have always had dry, irritated skin. Over the years I’ve tried countless skincare products, without success and eventually I got to the point where I stopped cleansing and moisturising my face altogether.
It was during a herbal manufacturing course that I had my lightbulb moment. Studying a Bachelor of Health Science (Naturopathy), I discovered my love of herbs and their amazing healing properties. Learning about the medicinal benefits of common plants and weeds people often take for granted, I decided to put these plants to good use. I started experimenting with Chickweed (Stellaria media) which was growing in abundance around my home in the Blue Mountains.
That was how my first product, the Calendula & Chickweed Cream was created. I started slowly, making it for friends and family, who could not get enough of this cream! Given its popularity, I decided to turn what started as a passion project and solution to my own problem, of finding skincare for my sensitive skin, into creating a skincare brand that people of all skin types could enjoy and benefit from.
I went on to study an Advanced Certificate in Cosmetic Chemistry and a Diploma in Natural Skincare, in order to combine my love and knowledge of herbs, with the skills of chemical formulations, to create a range of products, that are gentle to the skin and only mildly scented with pure essential oils.
