Sydney based illustrator, Amy Blue, has been drawing since she was 2 years old! Creating bright and kooky illustrations, Amy’s inspiration comes from nostalgic childhood pastimes, pop culture and her queer community. Merging her love for design and her illustration skills, Amy has created a vast range of queer nonsense to make you laugh and ponder.
Amy loves to create paper based products using her kooky illustrations. The pièce de résistance from the collection has to be, A Rather F**king Obnoxious Colouring In Book. Created in Lockdown 1.0, Amy set herself the challenge to create a colouring in book of ABCs of some rather unsavoury things (and of course some delightfully savoury ones!) With 24 pages filled for you to colour, on a thick 200gsm paper stock, once you’ve coloured in your master piece you can tear it out and frame it up.
Take a look at Amy’s shop to see the final creation. While your there, take the time to browse through the vast range of pop culture madness, where you can find queer and kooky illustrated nonsense to make you laugh- and ponder. There’s zines, paper stickers, vinyl stickers, lapel pins, art prints, badges, greeting cards, phew!
Amy also offers a distinctive illustration & design service for all your project needs. Working with companies such as ACON, YWCA Australia, Twenty10 GLCS & Homelessness NSW, Amy prides herself with a continued effort to work within the LGBTIQA+ community, bringing a queer voice and vision to each project she works on.
